IBS, A Xerox Company has appointed Alan Brown as managing director. Brown will report to Diego Hervas, president of Xerox's European Channels Group.
On accepting his position, Brown said: "IBS has a strong brand and a tremendous team of employees. I look forward to working with them to further strengthen the value we bring to customers throughout the island of Ireland."
IBS has in excess of 18,000 clients across corporate, SME and public sector organisations.
"Alan brings a wealth of leadership and management experience," said Diego Hervas, president, European Channels Group, Xerox Europe. "I am sure that under his leadership IBS will go from strength to strength."
Prior to joining IBS, A Xerox Company, Brown held a number of senior positions in the telecommunications industry most recently as deputy CEO and business director, Telefónica O2 Ireland.
Brown replaces Jerry Carey who has retired. Carey founded IBS in 1972 and under his leadership it became the largest independent reseller of digital imaging and printing solutions in Ireland. In 2010, IBS was acquired by Xerox and subsequently merged with the majority of Xerox (Ireland) Limited to create IBS, A Xerox Company.
