The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP), the leading authority in sustainable printing certifications for print manufacturers, is pleased to announce that InnerWorkings, Inc. (INWK) has joined the SGP community as the newest SGP Brand Leader. Brand Leaders align their print procurement practices with their organization's sustainability initiatives and goals. By becoming an SGP Brand Leader, INWK is able to further advance their clients and help them determine their sustainability goals.
INWK chose to partner with SGP as a new way to advance its mission of delivering measurable, sustainable value to its clients and within the supply chain. While the world is rapidly changing right now, INWK knows that in the long term, sustainable solutions will continue to be on the minds of the brands it serves.
INWK is continuing to move its sustainability initiatives forward. The partnership with SGP in North America is the tip of the spear of these initiatives, improving the sustainability of its supply chain and helping its print supplier partners emerge stronger and more differentiated in their capabilities.
As one of its main sustainability initiatives, INWK is advocating for its suppliers to become certified SGP Printers and prioritize spend with those that are certified. It recently launched a sustainability survey across 2000 INWK print suppliers to get a better understanding of the type of sustainability practices, measurement tools, and goals they currently have in place, and are actively working with many clients on achieving their specific sustainability goals. In addition, INWK has started a comprehensive database of sustainable alternatives for commonly used substrates across North America and Europe.
INWK's definition of sustainability means a focus on long-term success with scalable and adaptable solutions that consider the impact on its stakeholders, community and world. It will continue to refine its approach to sustainability in a way that reshapes its industry and best helps its clients achieve their sustainability goals. INWK's target is to double SGP's membership within the next three years.
