Konica Minolta is again the market leader in production printing

The independent Swiss market research company infosource confirms Konica Minolta's market leadership in production printing for the ninth consecutive year. The company leads both the overall market with 43 percent market share and the black-and-white (38 percent) and color (45 percent) sub-markets.

The production printing segment includes printing systems of several speed classes in mid- and light-production printing and the so-called border area between high-volume office and light-production printing, as well as color and black-and-white systems. According to infosource, Konica Minolta holds a leading position in all areas, even when viewed separately. The company is already represented in the heavy production printing market with the high-speed B2+ inkjet system AccurioJet KM-1. Above the medium speed segment of up to 100 pages per minute, the new flagship in toner-based sheet-fed printing, the AccurioPress C14000, is positioned.
"Production printing is our core business, which we are continually expanding by adding new systems in additional speed segments. infosource's figures once again confirm that we are on the right track with our strategic approach," says Cord Hashemian, Product Manager Production Printing at Konica Minolta Business Solutions Germany. "We are committed to supporting our customers holistically, offering high-quality systems technology, workflow automation, specialized applications for creating new business opportunities, and multi-channel marketing services in production printing. Commercial printers were recently able to see this for themselves at the Print Experience 2020. The IQ-501 Intelligent Quality Care System, which has been excellently accepted by the market and can save customers hours of time-consuming setup and control tasks every day, has also contributed to the very good overall success.
