Tribune Publishing today announced the appointment of Matthew Hutchison as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications. Hutchison will lead the overall communications strategy for Tribune Publishing Company following its separation from Tribune Company. Hutchison will report to Tribune Publishing Chief Executive Officer Jack Griffin and assume his new duties July 7. He will be based in Chicago.

Prior to joining Tribune Publishing, Hutchison served as Vice President of Corporate Communications for CBS Interactive, where he oversaw the communications operations across CBS Interactive's expansive portfolio of leading entertainment, sports news and gaming brands and digital properties. Prior to joining CBS Interactive, Hutchison served as Director of Global Consumer Communications for Dell Computer, where he directed all global communications and social media campaigns across Dell's consumer and mobile solutions.

Hutchison will team with Dana Meyer, who joined Tribune Publishing in May as Communications Manager. Prior to joining Tribune, Meyer worked for Discovery Communications across internal and external communications.
